Main Purpose of the Job

1. Responsible for planning, developing, and managing information systems and computer systems in Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited across locations
2. Identifying and recommending the appropriate technologies required to meet  the goals of IT
3. Coordination in SAP implementation and providing support to maintain accuracy of SAP

KEY ACTIVITIES

Planning and Managing Information Systems and Computer Systems

Analyse and assess IT requirements (short term and long term) of the organization and recommend acquisitions to the reporting  authority or top management

Planning, installation and configuration of hardware and software tools and technologies

Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies
and procedures and act in alignment with user needs and
system functionality to contribute to organizational policy

Responsible for Troubleshooting & installation of computer  peripherals, hardware, create users, connect servers to the Operating System’s nodes for smooth operations across the company.

Providing browser support, Internet on operating system for Windows configuration & troubleshooting.

Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure

Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time

Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems

Negotiate with technology vendors and its implementation

Ensure implementation of SAP and support to SAP maintenance in master data, inventories, and SAP transactions,

IT Safety and Security

  Ensure safety and security of organization’s IT network and
electronic documents

  Preserve assets, information security and control structures

Audit, Budgeting and Cost/ Benefit of IT

Prepare and handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness through analysis

  Ensure Audit systems and assess their outcomes

Knowledge  Update

Continue to learn new technologies and its implementation in cost effective ways

Experience & Qualifications

• 4 – 12 years of experience in the relevant field in organizations of repute, preferably in large scale manufacturing organisations.
• B. E. / B. Tech. / MBA (Four semesters)/ M.Sc. in Computer Science and certification in Server and Networking is desirable.
• Working knowledge of SAP is essential.
• Should possess software and hardware knowledge and skills.
