Main Purpose of the Job

Responsible for Safety, Health, and Environment of Gopalpur Industrial Park

Development and implementation of health, environment, and safety program to ensure compliances with environmental, health and safety laws, rules, and regulations

Develop and implement health & safety programs in the company

Oversee organizational compliances with local, state, and federal environment health and safety regulations and stay abreast of any changes in the laws and regulations

Ensure compliances with environmental laws, rules, regulations and implementation of water, air, e-waste, hazardous waste, solid waste etc.

Ensure that environment health and safety related policies and procedures are updated and available

Ensure safety training, on-site mock drills to the contractors, labors, and employees at regular intervals

Ensure induction of new employees, contractors, labors with safety orientation and training

Conduct routine safety meetings to review new procedures, policies and get safety observations and issues resolved

Implementation of Integrated Management Systems through ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure highest standards of safety and compliances

Ensure regular site inspections and prepare risk/ impact assessments and mitigation plans

Ensure review on HIRA, Root Cause Analysis, PPE assessments and take corrective actions on any deviations

Coordinate with authorities for clearances.

Facilitate & monitor environment parameters of the units operating within the industrial park to ensure compliance to statutory norms

Coordinate for pre-medical health check-up/periodic health check-up as per guideline of BOCW acts and factories Acts/rules

Safeguard machinery, fire safety, occupational health, noise, control of hazardous substances, environmental health

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2- 5 years working experience in an organization of repute
  • B.E. / B.Tech. / PG Diploma in Environment Management/M.Sc. in Environmental Science/ PG Diploma in Industrial Safety
  • Should be well conversant with environmental, health & safety laws, rules, and regulations
  • Should have good Stakeholder Management Skills and Communication Skills
