 MAIN PURPOSE
OF JOB

To plan, develop, execute and monitor all horticulture, landscaping, plantation, green belt development, irrigation systems, and beautification activities across the SEZ. The role is also responsible for exploring new business opportunities from member industries in the domain of horticulture leveraging the customer’s obligation towards Green Belt Compliances.

Key Activities

Green Belt & Landscape Development

Develop and implement annual horticulture plans for green belt creation, plantation drives, landscaping, avenue plantations, lawns, gardens, parks and beautification projects.

Maintenance of Green Assets

 

Ensure upkeep of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, ornamental plants, nursery and landscaped areas through planned maintenance schedules.

 

Environmental Compliance

Support statutory environmental requirements related to green belt development, compensatory plantation and biodiversity conservation initiatives.

 

Irrigation Management

Plan and monitor irrigation systems including drip irrigation, sprinklers, water conservation measures and efficient utilization of treated water.

 

Nursery Management

Develop and manage plant nurseries for seasonal and perennial plants to support landscaping and plantation requirements.

 

Contractor & Workforce Management

Manage horticulture contractors, supervisors and gardeners; monitor performance, quality, productivity and safety compliance.

 

Budget & Cost Control

Prepare annual budgets for horticulture activities and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effective operations.

 

Sustainability Initiatives

Drive initiatives related to biodiversity enhancement, organic manure usage, composting, rainwater utilization and sustainable landscaping practices.

 

Pest & Disease Control

Ensure effective preventive and corrective measures for pest control, plant diseases and soil health improvement.

 

Stakeholder/Member Industries Coordination

Coordinate with internal departments, regulatory bodies, consultants and external agencies for horticulture projects and environmental initiatives.
Coordinate with member industries to explore new business opportunity for the company

 

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental policies and company procedures during horticulture operations.

 

MIS & Reporting

Maintain records, plantation data, asset registers, contractor performance reports, budget utilization and periodic management reports.

 

 EXPERIENCE, 
QUALIFICATIONS &
BEHAVIOURAL
ATTRIBUTES:

Educational Qualification:

  • B.Sc. Agriculture / Horticulture.
  • M.Sc. Horticulture / Landscape Management preferred.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in horticulture, landscaping, green belt development, township maintenance, industrial parks, SEZs or large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in contractor management, nursery operations and environmental sustainability initiatives.
