Sr. Manager / Manager – Environment & Compliance

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for Environment monitoring and control, Waste and Water management and Statutory Compliances as defined in EC/CTE/Statutory Requirement for Gopalpur Industrial Park.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Waste & Water Management

• Explore various options for water availability within Gopalpur Industrial Park.
• Prepare a plan for ensuring water availability to customers on a short-medium-long-term basis and work towards achieving the same.
• Technically evaluate the water requirement of the customer and ensure availability in collaboration with various agencies.
• Plan for water treatment plant/ effluent treatment plant/project related to supply & distribution of water. Operation and maintenance of these facilities along with vendor partners / own resources
• Monitoring of processes of hazardous waste materials.
• Evaluation of water treatment processes and effectiveness.
• Ensuring statutory compliance for water management.

Environment Monitoring and Control

• Develop operating and control guidelines and have systems in place on the ground to ensure compliance by each customer within the Industrial Park.
• Development of Annual Business Plan and Budget for the Department.
• Implementation of Environmental Management System through development of EHSMS:ISO-14001.
• Develop SOPs of the processes.
• Maintain and monitor safe working conditions.

Audits & Compliances

• Identify and ensure approval of all statutory clearances applicable to the Industrial Park Business for TSSEZL.
• To monitor and review the terms and conditions of EC/CTO/CTE of TSSEZ and member industries. Responsible for Environment Monitoring Cell.
• Develop a system for regular monitoring and compliance reporting to all the related statutory agencies and stake holders.
• Engage with the incoming customers to clarify the applicable statutes and facilitate them to avail the same in the shortest possible time.
• Compliances of EHSMS Audits and Environmental regulations.
• Environmental Sustainability Reporting as per GRI guidelines.
• Implementation of new regulatory changes.

Awareness Generation & Training Programme

• Facilitating awareness program and Training program on environment and water at regular intervals.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES

• B.E. /B.Tech. /  PG Diploma in Environment Management/M Sc Environmental Science/ Chemistry preferably with PG diploma in Industrial Safety.
• 10 – 15 years of experience in the relevant field in an organization of reputation. Should have in-depth knowledge of Pollution Control Equipment, Wastewater Management, legal compliances on environment. Must have exposure to Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Should possess excellent written & verbal communication skill.
