V. SECURING APPROVAL AND DUE DILIGENCE
The customer will have to register the project at www.sezonline-ndml.co.in to obtain the necessary approvals as a SEZ unit by following the procedures outlined here. FALTA SEZ is the nodal agency for facilitating these approvals for the SEZ in GIP. After obtaining the approval as a SEZ unit, the customer will need to apply for the necessary approvals in the GoSwift portal of the Government of Odisha. Generally, the Government of Odisha (GoO) provides the necessary approvals in 30 days. At the same time, the customer can also conduct due diligence of the property on its own or by a law firm.
Recreation
The nearest beach town ‘Gopalpur’ is a tourist destination and is situated at a distance of 10 Kms from GIP. Mayfair Palm Beach Resort, the five star resort is situated on Gopalpur beach. Several other hotels, real estate properties are available for rent/sale at Gopalpur, the nearest beach town.
Education
The nearest city Bramhapur is known as the Education Hub of Odisha. The city hosts a Government Medical College, MKCG Medical College & Hospital and numerous Government Colleges such as Parala Maharaja Engineering College, Indian Institute of Science Education and Reseach and Private Engineering colleges such as National Institute of Science and Technology and many other institutes as well. The Berhampur University is just situated in the vicinity of the Industrial Park. There are 330 technical institutes within 175 Kms radius of the GIP.
Health
Tata Steel has developed 2 hospitals in the nearby locations of GIP as a part of its CSR efforts – Tata Steel Medical Hospital, a 200-bed multi-specialty hospital in Bramhapur and Sankara Eye Hospital, a 100-bed eye hospital in Samarjhol. The city Bramhapur also hosts a Government Medical College, MKCG Medical College & Hospital.

VII. COMMENCE OPERATIONS OF THE UNIT
Once the project construction is over, the customer can start operating the manufacturing unit by receiving the necessary statutory clearances.
